Donate suits to Veterans
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that there are nearly 400,000 Veterans that remain unemployed, even after their service to our country. We are fully committed to lowering that number and we have started at our own front door. G.I. Junk is Veteran owned and operated. We have made it our business to employ Veterans and provide exceptional service to our customers.
We are proud to announce that we were able to donate 27 pieces of gently used dress attire to the Suits for Soldiers drive hosted by Farmer’s Insurance, this year.
Suits for Veterans
Anyone who has been through the process of finding a job knows that trying to impress a potential employer with your knowledge and demeanor in person can be a daunting task. For Veterans transitioning to the civilian workforce (after years of being told what to wear and how to wear it), this hurdle can be a big one.
That’s why it is important to help Veterans in this process. Providing them with the perfect outfit to wear to an interview yields great results. A great outfit has been proven to boost confidence.
When Vets look and feel their best, they have better interviews and find greater success transitioning to civilian employment.
